Well, therapy is just listening right? You pay someone and vent out in front of them. That’s it.. WRONG
Therapy is structured and Scientific. One of the widely used approach in therapy is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
But how does CBT work?
As humans, we all have some core beliefs. (They are the ideas we hold about ourselves, about others and the world we live in)
Most of the times, these core beliefs are irrational and negative. For example- I have to be perfect in order to be worthy of love.
In cognitive behavioral therapy, you first identify these irrational and negative beliefs and then slowly substitute it with positive ones.
Now that you’re more informed, you can decide if therapy is the choice you should make.
